On February 6th, 2012, Babson College kicked-off Andrew Zimmern’s new role as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence with a special event: Bizarre Foods:Babson Edition. The event was a way of introducing Zimmern to the community and to give him the opportunity to share his personal experiences.

Andrew Zimmern is the host of Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods. He is also a  chef, food writer, food advocate and is a James Beard Award-winning TV personality. Zimmern has hands-on experience working with food innovators and food entrepreneurs across the globe. Taking his experiences and knowledge that he obtained along the way, Zimmern will work with Babson students on showcasing food innovation in the food system. He will work directly with the Lewis Institute’s Social Innovation Lab at Babson as well as the Lab’s Food Sol.

Being known as a huge foodie, I was given the opportunity to report on the event. However, I will be conducting a one on one interview with Zimmern to learn more about his plans at Babson College and to ask him some of my own questions. Feel free to make suggestions!
